Virginia State Route 84 is a road that goes from WV-84 at the Virginia/West Virginia State Line, to US 220 in Vanderpool. The route is the only VA Primary Route in Highland County.

The Route Path:
VA-84 starts at the Virginia/West Virginia State Line, as a continuation of WV-84. The route heads east, before sharply curving a couple times as it loses elevation, before curving back eastbound, then southeast. After going southeast, VA-84 intersects the west end of its concurrency with SR-600, and curves up northeast. After the concurrency ends, the route curves to the east, and back up northeast.
Shortly after, VA-84 passes through the community of Mill Gap, as it continues northeast until its junction with SR-640. At the intersection, the route curves to the east and passes through Vanderpool Gap. After leaving the gap, VA-84 reaches its east end at an intersection with US 220.
