The Route Path:
VA-227 starts at the western corporate limits of the town of Urbanna, as a continuation of SR-602. The route heads east, approaching downtown Urbanna. Once there, VA-227 turns south onto Cross Street, and passes through downtown. Shortly after, the route turns east onto Watling Street, before turning south again onto the Beryl R. Newman Memorial Bridge, leaving the town as it crosses the Urbanna Creek.
Once off the bridge, VA-227 continues southeast through rural Middlesex County, before curving south-southwest. The route passes through some fields, before curving southeast again. Shortly after, VA-227 reaches its southern end at an intersection with VA-33. The road itself continues south as SR-641, ending shortly after.
My Experiences:
I have never been on VA-227.
