The Route Path:
VA-267 starts at an interchange with US 15 and VA-7 in Leesburg, south of downtown. The route heads south from here, having an exit for Battlefield Parkway. Once VA-267 leaves the immediate Leesburg area, it curves southeast and has an exit for SR-653 (Shreve Mill Road).
From here, the route crosses the Sycolin Creek, shortly before crossing SR-625 and Goose Creek. VA-267 crosses SR-625 again just before an exit for SR-659. At this exit, the route enters the suburbs of Washington, DC as it runs along the border of the CDP of Ashburn.
Not long after the SR-659 exit, VA-267 has an exit for SR-901 (Claiborne Parkway). The route curves to the south here, passing by residental areas, before curving southeast again and having an exit for SR-772. The VA-267 median becomes the Metro Silver Line as it passes through the Ashburn Metro Station just after the exit.
The route has an exit for SR-607 (Loudoun County Parkway) after the Metro Station, followed by a crossing of Broad Run and an interchange with SR-606 as the Loudoun Gateway Metro Station becomes the median, still with the Silver Line.
From here, VA-267 begins to pass by Dulles International Airport as the Silver Line veers away from the route. Shortly after this, the route reaches an interchange with VA-28 and the Dulles Access Road (Which obviously provides access to Dulles International Airport), and VA-267 merges east onto the Dulles Toll Road, away from the airport, entering Fairfax County.
Inside the Dulles Toll Road and Dulles Access Road (VA-90004) is also the Silver Line, and just after the interchange, the Innovation Center Metro Station appears in the median with the tracks. The route heads east from the station, having an exit for SR-657, providing access to Herndon and McNair, before the Herndon Metro Station enters the median before VA-267 has an exit for VA-286. Following that, the route has an exit for SR-602 with the Reston Town Center Metro Station, which is followed by an exit for SR-828 just after the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station.
VA-267 continues east, eventually having an exit for SR-674, before getting somewhat of a break from the exits. During this break, the route crosses Difficult Run, before eventually having a half-exit for Trap Road, which provides access to the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Just after this exit, VA-267 crosses Wolftrap Creek before having an interchange with VA-7. At this exit, the Silver Line veers away from the route and joins VA-7 towards Tysons.
Right after that, VA-267 has an exit for SR-684, followed by the route having a big interchange with I-495 (Capital Beltway). Immediately after that interchange, VA-267 has an interchange with VA-123, then the route curves to the southeast as it reunites with the Silver Line and the Dulles Access Road ends as it merges into VA-267/Dulles Toll Road. VA-267 passes along the border of the CDP of Pimmit Hills, crossing Pimmit Run, before the route reaches its eastern terminus at an interchange with I-66.
My Experiences:
I have been on VA-267 once, from VA-28 to I-495, on August 24, 2024. That was part of my first time in Loudoun County (Though I only got the eastern edge at the VA-28/VA-267 interchange.
I have also passed the eastern end of the route on I-66 on April 21, 2024, and have passed through it on I-495 on August 9, 2023 and August 24, 2024.
