After this, the route crosses the stream again as they run parallel before SR-607 curves more south to reach its southern end at an intersection with SR-604 at Fent Wiley Hollow.

Greene/Orange Counties:
The Greene County and Orange County variation of Secondary Route 607 is a road that goes from SR-644 and SR-743 in southeastern Greene County to US 33 in western Orange County. The route east of US 29 connects US 29 and US 33 without entering Ruckersville.

This version of SR-607 begins at an intersection with SR-644 and SR-743 southwest of Ruckersville, in Greene County. From here, the route heads southeast, passing through some residential areas and eventually intersecting SR-606 (Spring Hill Road). SR-607 continues east, passing through more residential areas, reaching an intersection with US 29 (Seminole Trail) shortly after.
The route continues past the intersection, with a northbound-signed reassurance sign. Not long after this, SR-607 curves northeast at an intersection with SR-670 (Preddy Creek Road). The route soon passes by more neighborhoods, curving a few times before intersecting SR-616 before crossing Preddy Creek.
From here, SR-607 continues east as it gains elevation, passing through some wooded areas before eventually crossing the Greene/Orange County Line, entering Orange County.
In the county, the route intersects SR-670 again (now named Ridgeway Drive), before curving northeast and passing by some houses, still in the wooded areas and eventually reaching its east end at an intersection with US 33 (Spotswood Trail) not far west of the unincorporated community of Ehart.
My Experiences:
I have been on this version of SR-607 many, many, many times. In addition to this, my first picture of 2024 was of the sign for this route at its intersection with US 29 in Greene County. It's not a surprise at all I have clinched this version of SR-607 and made it my first ever Secondary Route Post/Page.

The route heads south as a one-lane dirt road, shortly before reaching an intersection with an unnumbered road (Buffalo Station Drive). SR-607 continues southeast past some trees before making a sharp curve towards the northeast.
The route continues in this direction towards the James River, losing elevation as it passes in-between two small hills. SR-607 makes a couple small curves, but stays heading northeast before eventually reaching its eastern end at a dead end just short of some railroad tracks and the James River.
