Virginia State Route 106 is a road that goes from VA-249 east of Quinton to US 460 southeast of Petersburg. It has quite a weird routing, but nowhere as weird as VA-156, which VA-106 has a concurrency with for a while.

The Route Path:
VA-106 starts at a roundabout with VA-249 and SR-609 east of Quinton. The route heads south as a 4 lane divided road, intersecting SR-610, and having a roundabout with a road that accesses two neighborhoods. After, VA-106 curves southwest, and has a roundabout with a dead end stub which goes nowhere. Right after that, the route has a diamond interchange with I-64/VA-33 and shrinks to a two lane divided highway.
Exit 211 on I-64 (and VA-33) serves VA-106. |
VA-106 and VA-156 continue south on a concurrency, crossing the James River and entering Prince George County. The routes pass by Jordan Point, shortly before reaching an intersection with VA-10, and all three routes head west together. After less than a mile, VA-106 and VA-156 split from VA-10, and head south.
The routes continue through some rural areas in Prince George County. After about 4.5 miles, VA-156 splits off the concurrency, and VA-106 continues west. Shortly after, the route enters the CDP of Prince George. Right after leaving the CDP, VA-106 passes under I-295, before having a roundabout with SR-634.
The route continues southwest from here, before entering the City of Petersburg. Just after entering the City, VA-106 reaches an intersection with US 460, where the route meets its southern end, marked with an "END" sign.
My Experiences:
I might have been on VA-106. If I have, it was probably from I-64/VA-33 to VA-249.
