VA-31 Shield

The Route Path:

VA-31 starts at an intersection with VA-5 and VA-199 on the border of the City of Williamsburg, and James City County. The route goes southwest, passing through residental areas. After leaving the residental areas, VA-31 reaches the James River. The route uses the Jamestown Scotland Ferry to cross the river.

After crossing the river, VA-31 becomes a road again, and continues south through Surry County. Once the route reaches the town of Surry, VA-10 joins VA-31 through the town. South of the town, VA-10 splits from VA-31 and heads west.

VA-31 continues south from VA-10, meeting SR-616 in Elberon, before passing through the town of Dendron. South of Dendron, VA-31 goes through more of rural Surry County, before meeting SR-617 just east of Wakefield. The route turns west at the intersection, before meeting US 460, where VA-31 reaches its southern terminus.

My Experiences:

I have never been on VA-31, but I would love to take the ferry one day.
