VA-18

Virginia State Route 18 is a road that goes from US 60 and US 220 in Covington, to VA-311 in Paint Bank. The route goes through a whole lot of nothing.

The Route Path:

VA-18 starts at an intersection with US 60 and US 220 in Covington. The route heads south, passing under I-64. Shortly after, VA-18 passes over the Jackson River, before curving west and leaving the city. The route runs parallel to the Potts Creek, crossing it multiple times. VA-18 goes through lots of hilly terrain, with nothing very interesting as it intersects many secondary routes.

About 17 miles after leaving the City of Covington, VA-18 leaves Alleghany County, and enters Craig County. The route keeps going southwest, before eventually reaching its southern end at VA-311 in the community of Paint Bank.

My Experiences:

I have never been on VA-18, but looking at Google Maps, the route looks very boring. But, it is in the western part of the state, which means the route is probably somewhat scenic.
