Virginia State Route 224 is a road that goes from US 58/US 421 near Weber City to TN-93 at the Virginia/Tennessee State Line. The route is part of an alternate way to get from Gate/Weber Cities to I-26 in TN.

The Route Path:
VA-224 starts at an intersection with US 58 and US 421. The route heads south as a 4 lane divided highway, shortly before shrinking to 2 lanes and curving a little to the southeast. VA-224 continues as a windy road, with lots of mountain views.
Eventually, the route crosses the North Fork Holston River, still going through the hilly terrain. Less than 2 miles after crossing the river, VA-224 crosses the VA-TN state line, becoming TN-93.
