The Route Path:
VA-92 starts at an intersection with US 360 in Halifax County. The route heads north, before entering the CDP of Clover. Once in Clover, VA-92 curves northeast, passing through some residential areas. Shortly after, the route leaves the CDP and curves east as it now passes through rural areas. Eventually, the route crosses over the Staunton River, however, the bridge and the parts of VA-92 close to it have been closed for around 15 years. After crossing the river, the route has another intersection with US 360, and continues east.
VA-92 goes through rural Charlotte County for around 3.74 miles, before eventually intersecting US 15. The route continues east from this intersection, before crossing into Mecklenburg County. VA-92 passes through a mixture of woods and fields for just over 5 miles, before entering the town of Chase City.
Just after entering the town, the route has an intersection with VA-49. Both routes head on a concurrency, before reaching downtown. There, they have an intersection with VA-47. VA-92 turns south here, while VA-49 continues east with VA-47. Shortly after, the route turns east onto Sycamore Street, before turning right back south onto Main Street. VA-92 passes through some residential areas of the town, before eventually leaving and going back to rural areas.
The route continues south, continuing to pass through woods and fields. VA-92 eventually approaches the town of Boydton. Just north of the town limits, the route has an intersection with US 58, before entering the town. VA-92 doesn't go through much in the town before it reaches its eastern end at Business US 58 in the middle of the town.
