The Route Path:
VA-32 starts at an interchange with US 17, US 258 and US 60 in the City of Newport News. The route heads southwest with US 17 and US 258, almost immediately entering the James River Drawbridge, crossing the James River into Isle of Wight County.
VA-32/US 17/US 258 continue southwest, before eventually reaching the community of Bartlett. Here, the route splits from US 17 with US 258, and heads west. Shortly after this, VA-32/US 258 reach the CDP of Benns Church, where the route leaves US 258 and heads south with VA-10. VA-32/VA-10 run as a 4-lane divided highway, eventually passing through the community of Wills Corner. Here, the routes shrink into a 2-lane undivided highway before crossing into the City of Suffolk.
Shortly after entering the city, VA-32/VA-10 enter the neighborhood of Chuckatuck, intersecting the west end of VA-125. The routes continue south, leaving the neighborhood and going back through rural areas of the city. Eventually, VA-32/VA-10 cross the Nansemond River Western Branch, before widening back to a 4-lane divided highway.
About 2.5 miles later, the routes reach an interchange with US 13/58/460, continuing south and approaching Downtown Suffolk. Not long after the interchange VA-32/VA-10 reach an intersection with US 460 Business, and VA-10 ends at this intersection, while VA-32 heads south with the business route into Downtown Suffolk.
After a while, VA-32/US 460 Business cross the Nansemond River into downtown, almost immediately intersecting US 58 Business. At this intersection, US 460 Business turns east, leaving VA-32 heading south into the center of the city. There, the route intersects US 13 Business/VA-337, and VA-32 continues south with US 13 Business.
The routes head south through the southern parts of Downtown Suffolk, before eventually reaching an interchange with US 13 Mainline. The business route ends, while VA-32 continues southwest with US 13. After about 1.4 miles, the routes pass by the Suffolk Executive Airport, before VA-32 splits from US 13, heading directly south.
The route passes through very rural parts of Suffolk, intersecting multiple roads such as Copeland Road and Babbtown Road (which provides access to the Skeetertown neighborhood). After the route intersects the latter road, it curves slightly southeast, still passing through rural areas. Eventually, after almost 6 miles, VA-32 reaches its south end at the Virginia-North Carolina State Line, becoming NC-32, which continues south to Sunbury and Edenton.
My Experiences:
I have never been on VA-32, but if I go to Virginia Beach soon, I would likely take US 460 on the way there to get a picture of VA-32, since the number is my personal lowest I don't have a picture of.
