The Route Path:
VA-160 begins at the Virginia/Kentucky State Line as a continuation of KY-160. Upon entering Virginia, the route has a scenic overlook and curves northeast as it begins going down the side of Black Mountain. Eventually, VA-160 pauses its descent and passes through the unincorporated community of Laurel.
After this, the route runs next to Looney Creek while slowly curving southeast. During this, VA-160 enters the Town of Appalachia, crossing Looney Creek shortly after. Eventually, the route heads more southeast before reaching its eastern end at an intersection with VA-68, west of Downtown Appalachia and US 23 Business.
My Experiences:
I have never been on VA-160 (yet). There's a good chance I use this route to cross into Kentucky on my planned Spring trip to the state.
