Virginia State Route 167 is a short route that goes from US 11 just southeast of Daleville to Alternate US 220 just north of Cloverdale. The route's only purpose is to provide a connection for US 11 and US 220 ALT without having to use the actual intersection of the two routes, which is part of a junction with Interstate 81.

The Route Path:
VA-167 starts at an intersection with US 11 and a set of ramps to and from North I-81. The route heads southeast as a four lane divided road named Gateway Crossing and signed as 'To ALT US 220', passing through a small hill. Not long after, VA-167 curves south towards ALT US 220, shortly before reaching its southern end at an intersection with the aforementioned route.
My Experiences:
I have never been on VA-167, but I have passed by its northern end numerous times on I-81 North without knowing it was actually a Primary Route, since it isn't signed as VA-167 from the exit signs, but rather 'To ALT US 220' as it is on the route itself.
